FAQ's
1. How long will it take my child to learn how to swim?
Many variables affect how rapidly your child will learn to swim, such as his age, comfort level in the water, whether they are in a group, semi-private or private lessons, and whether your child has been exposed to a traumatic event in the water. Some children can learn to swim the length of the pool (25 ft) in as few as 6 private lessons.
2. How many swim lessons should my child have per week?
Depending on the skill set of the swimmer, they should have between 1 - 2 swim lessons per week.
3. What is your scheduling and ability?
Parents must email Allison Schiller to schedule an appointment (see Contact page). She will work best with the parent to schedule a time for a lesson that works best for the parent and child.
4. How many children are recommended to be in the small group?
It is recommended to have a maximum of 4 children in the small group lesson.
5. How do I determine my child's swim level?
If a parent cannot determine the child's swim level, they can have a free five minute examination to determine the child's swimming skill set.
6. What should I bring to a lesson?
> Goggles
> Pool Towel
> Swim Cap
> Bathing Suit
> Floatation devise (only if needed)
7. Where will lessons take place?
Lessons will take place at the pool the child belongs to. By giving lessons at your family's pool, it will ensure that the child feels most comfortable swimming in the water that they are used to being in/will spend their summers in. If a parent would rather have the lesson at Allison's summertime pool (Brier Creek Country Club) or another location, that may be available upon request.
